1. Establish North Star

We’ve talked about Tesla’s Master Plan and how it served as a clear path ahead for everyone at Tesla. Some excerpts from the book “Start with WHY” that resonated with me, on behalf of Arrow.

In “The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan”, Elon spends most of the text arguing against “two repeated arguments against electric vehicles”. (Environmental toxicity and indirect CO2 emmissions.)

Perhaps Arrow needs to consider the main points of arguments against our methods of changing the world?

DAO governance, DAO skepticism, open source sustainability, IP risks, regulatory risks, too technically complex for DAO etc etc. Our vision should have good answers for these and ideally, flip them on their head so they become our strengths and the challenge we choose to accept.

Whatever it looks like, we need to have a documented mission that is clear, enduring and impactful. So this goes at number 1 for me.

2. Communicate The Vision, Visually

With regards to communicating/building a community, we have been working with a bottom up approach. Build things, show progress when it happens, hope for engagement. I am calling this bottom up because we are working through engineering problems where the path ahead is unknown.

For 2025 I would like (or wish) to see us adopt a more top down approach. If we follow our North Star for 10 years, where does that bring us? What does it feel like, what does it look like?

We should spend time sharing this vision.

It may not be what we end up with, but that’s not actually as important as having SOMETHING.
